Gloag high school is a power house in sporting and cultural activities. Last year the boys under 17 soccer team were provincial champions and the school had one of the students being second in the NASH national public speaking competitions. The previous year 2015, the school had produced a national gold medallist in the senior boys’ national chess scholars’ championships. In 20016, one female athlete represented the nation in regional competitions while a male athlete secured 2 silver medals at national level in athletics. In term one, 2017, the school was crowned the Matabeleland Regional Orate Quiz and Spelling Bee champions and are currently waiting to take part in the national competition.
